Our Electrical Design Analysis or “EDA” is a structured technical report containing fundamental engineering calculations, sizing justifications, and safety verifications required to build a compliant and safe electrical power system.

We offer the following EDA:

• Voltage Drop Calculation
  This verifies that operating equipment receives adequate voltage to prevent equipment malfunctions and excessive energy loss in long cable runs.
• Load Flow Analysis
  This analyzes the steady-state performance of the electrical network under normal operating conditions to avoid overloading and poor power factor.
• Short Circuit Calculation
  This calculation verifies that all circuit breakers, switchgears, panelboards are rated to withstand the calculated fault currents. If a short circuit occurs and the panel’s kAIC (kilo-Ampere Interrupting Current) rating is lower than the fault current, the breaker can explode instead of safely clearing the fault.
• Protection Coordination
  This analysis establishes the optimal operational settings. Without coordination, a minor short circuit may cause an entire facility into total power loss
• Arc Flash Analysis
  This evaluates the total thermal energy amount released during an accidental arc fault to protect personnel working on energized equipment.
• ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program)
  For large systems, computing several calculations is time-consuming. With ETAP, we can create a digital model of the electrical system to simulate its behavior, evaluate different operating conditions, and generate accurate analysis results.
